The Frank McKetta papers consist of reference files and working drafts pertaining to his largely unpublished histories of the Pennsylvania State Police from the 1930s into the 1980s, highlighting his battles against political corruption. The files include source materials on the Fraternal Order of Police, the mafia in Pennsylvania, the Black Muslim movement, the murder of United Mine Workers leader Joseph A.Yablonski, and the Pittsburgh race riots during the 1950s and 1960s.
